Oscars 2023: ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ Wins Big at the 95th Academy Awards

The Oscars are the most significant event in the film calendar and this year was no exception. The cast and crew who helped create the top films of the last year gathered in Hollywood to walk the champagne-colored carpet and celebrate the industry’s achievements at the famous Dolby Theatre.

Everything Everywhere All at Once was the night’s big winner, picking up seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, Directing and Best Editing. Its star, Michelle Yeoh, made history by becoming the first Asian woman to win the award for Lead Actress.

In more Academy Award history-making news, Ruth Carter became the first black woman to win two Oscars after she picked up the Costume Design award for her work on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Naatu Naatu also landed Indian cinema its first ever Oscar win after the track won Best Original Song. Written by M.M. Keeravani and lyrics by Chandrabose, the wildly catchy song is featured in the epic Indian action film RRR.
