The Old Rue
Project Details
Los Angeles, 1952. After leaving a glamorous party in the Hollywood Hills, rising actress Evelyn Shaw confronts her partner, Julian Mercer, over his attention toward another woman. Their argument exposes Evelyn’s growing obsession with beauty, status, and being chosen by the rooms she once entered only to pursue her acting career. The Old Rue is an intimate dramatic short about ambition, jealousy, aging, and the difference between being seen and leaving something meaningful behind.
