About the Job
SEBASTIAN, 37, is a former elite marathon runner whose career ended after a devastating injury at kilometer 39 of a race where he was on pace to break a world record. Years later, he is emotionally stuck in the life he lost, unable to fully move forward. When his insecure teenage son, Dillon, struggles to find something he is good at, Sebastian begins training him to run. Sebastian genuinely believes running can give his son the discipline, confidence, and purpose it gave him. However, as Dillon improves, Sebastian begins unconsciously projecting his own lost identity onto his son. Sebastian is a loving father whose intentions are genuine, but whose inability to let go of his past begins to affect his relationship with his son.
