MARCUS & SELENE is an elevated corporate drama about ambition, love, power, and the emotional cost of becoming who you were always meant to be. Set inside the high-stakes world of elite finance and corporate law, the story follows Marcus Ellis, a brilliant financial strategist engaged to a successful attorney, and Selene Ambrose, a fiercely disciplined corporate lawyer fighting her way toward partnership. When they are assigned to a major merger together, their professional rivalry turns into a dangerous emotional connection built on shared survival, ambition, and the feeling of finally being seen. As Marcus and Selene rise together professionally, their chemistry forces both of them to confront the lives they built for stability versus the lives they truly want. Marcus must question whether success means safety, loyalty, and the future he promised Mia — or whether it means stepping into the fullest version of himself. Selene, meanwhile, must decide if control is still protecting her or quietly keeping her from love, softness, and emotional freedom. At its core, MARCUS & SELENE is not a story about villains or easy choices. It is a mature, emotionally layered drama about two people whose connection becomes impossible to ignore — even as it threatens everything they thought they wanted. The series explores class mobility, Black excellence, emotional repression, romantic timing, corporate power, and the painful beauty of choosing ambition, love, or legacy.
