Project Details
Vision: The foundation story of a project with the potential of expanding. A story carefully designed to organically give the lead character layers of emotions and a place for a terrific, emotional performance Plot: The World has just lost Todd Robinson, the lead actor from a rare, black superhero film . The story of Todd's tragic death received headline news for weeks. The super hero film was massive earning over a billion dollars. The studio wants to capitalize on this wave of success despite the actor's death. A young Influencer/Tik Tok Star named Amir looks just like the deceased superstar actor. He is approached by the studio and given the role. Reaction is swift, huge and divided. The biggest reaction is from Todd's mom who makes a plea to Amir to decline the role. This is the centerpiece of the base project. That emotion is centered around Amir's struggle with doing the right thing for his hero, his family his fans and himself. Amir's no nonsense girlfriend Monica encourages him to keep the role despite the backlash, which sets up a delicious confrontation between Monica and Todd's mom.
