New Mutiny Short Film
Los Angeles
Project Details
New Mutiny is a short film about what happens when public conflict collides with private family tensions. Set over the course of one charged evening during a high school production of Romeo & Juliet, the film follows La La, a young nonbinary performer navigating fear, identity, and the painful uncertainty of whether their family can truly see them for who they are. While the story unfolds against a backdrop of protest, outrage, and escalating tension, the film is ultimately not about politics—it is about people. It is about parents struggling with fear, teachers choosing courage, and a young person searching for love in the middle of noise.
