This story follows a young man who, after undergoing a medical procedure designed to erase the memory of a past relationship, discovers a box of personal objects—totems that allow him to re-enter and relive moments from that relationship in vivid detail. As he journeys backward through time, he reconstructs the emotional arc of his connection with Lenore, experiencing their love in fragments—both tender and destructive. Things really take a turn when he begins to alter these memories in an attempt to reshape the outcome of their fates. Each intervention creates unforeseen consequences in the collective present reality, distorting it into increasingly unstable and heightened states. Ultimately, he is forced to confront the limits of control—recognizing that healing cannot be manufactured or revised. By surrendering to the truth of what was, he finds clarity, restores balance to the collective present day reality, and comes to terms with letting go. Think “Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind” meets “The Butterfly Effect”
