Synopsis

Uncle Ron is an eccentric, endlessly optimistic older man and owner of the local dive bar, Rattlesnake Piss. He is warm, slightly unhinged, fiercely loyal, and completely sincere no matter how absurd the situation becomes. He quickly takes Sueco under his wing and becomes an important part of the story, balancing broad comedy with some of the pilot’s more genuine, heartfelt moments. Seeking an actor who can convincingly read as early-to-mid 70s on camera. Uncle Ron uses a walker throughout the story, so he must physically feel believable as someone who regularly gets around with one. Strong comedic timing and grounded, naturalistic delivery are essential. The humor should never feel like he is trying to be funny. This is a substantial supporting role in a scripted 30-minute mockumentary pilot. Uncle Ron appears throughout the pilot in multiple scenes and locations, with both comedic and dramatic dialogue. Applicants should expect a meaningful on-camera role and potentially multiple shoot days.
