The Favorite: Dad Fights For Faith
Inspired by the true story of the local (Clearwater, FL) Bernard family’s life being turned upside down with a jet ski accident leaving a young son, Kyle, in a coma. Norman Bernard asks his brother Daniel Bernard, (John Schneider) to lead the family to pray for his son’s recovery like they did for Luke’s miracle. Benjamin, having caused the accident where Luke was nearly killed, is the easy culprit and blamed. Distraught, Benjamin finds solace in Annie, a nurse. She tells him there is more to praying than asking for things. After a prayerful night in the hospital chapel with the Bernard brothers there is a miraculous answer that leaves the family and doctor in awe.
