About the Job
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN: Rebecca's husband. He is her primary caregiver. He is supportive and patient but is beginning to feel the fatigue of the "recovery plateau." He is a man of action who is running out of ways to "fix" the situation. Note: Must be able to transition seamlessly from a direct-to-camera monologue into an intimate, quiet scene. The Conflict: He is caught between hope (the upcoming photography trip) and frustration (the reality of her stagnant progress). In the opening monologue, he must connect directly with the audience with a sense of "we're in this together" before transitioning into a quiet, intimate scene where he tries to maintain a brave face for his wife.
