The main protagonist of the show. A charismatic, womanizing, thrill seeking, flamboyant playboy stoner. Tall and athletic build. You must look like a teenager. Shawn's appearance is Will Smith from Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Jabari Banks from Bel Air. He is a graffiti artist. Shawn has gathered a reputation throughout Flatbush and Crown Heights for his schemes and moves with girls around the way. Shawn is trapped between two worlds: civilian life and street life as his older brother Shay controls the streets of Brooklyn and soon New York with his crew. Shay has a complicated influence over his younger brother as Shay would usually bully Shawn into “being a man” and thrusting him into the vices of the world with actions that sometimes comes at the expense of Shawn’s friends and family. He is a young man who is going through a wave of depression looking for his purpose in life. He wants to provide for his mother and his younger sister and possibly move them away from New York, while also looking to create a legacy for himself through conventional means. Shawn however falls into the evils of drugs, sex, gangs, and more importantly, himself, as he can have moments of self-loathing and depression due to his extensive use of weed and the pressure of his environment.
