In The Water
In the Water is an intimate, psychologically charged family drama set over the course of a single summer day and night. At its center is Jessica, a mother who refuses to enter the backyard pool despite once being a skilled swimmer. Her eldest daughter Tori, caught between the roles of daughter and caretaker, becomes increasingly attuned to the fractures beneath the family’s surface. What begins as a seemingly mundane afternoon by the pool turns into an exploration of inherited trauma, the body’s memory, and the fragile act of letting go.
