Project Notes

Casting a Berkeley Film Foundation supported independent short film. Filming in the Bay Area. Production will provide, flight, hotel, etc. Patricia (P.H.) Lee is a filmmaker based in Oakland, CA. She previously worked in sustainable architecture, where she used the power of storytelling to convince real estate owners to care about climate change. She brings this experience to her screenplays exploring how we make decisions in the face of frightening change. Her first short film script, Hannah’s Biography, gained her a spot as an SFFILM Filmhouse resident in 2021 and 2022. The film went on to play at SFFILM International Film Festival and CAAMfest. Her next short Wasted Resources is in pre-production. Since 2018, Capsaicinco has produced films with some of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most exciting filmmakers, frequently collaborating with writers and directors supported by The Sundance Institute, The Future of Film is Female and SFFILM. Their films have premiered at festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, SFFILM, and Big Sky Documentary and gone on to stream at Netflix, MUBI, Amazon Prime, and MeansTV.
