Too Done
Mina, a middle-aged Latina cleaning lady, moves through life in quiet repetition—scrubbing offices, caring for an ungrateful and abusive husband, and watching her own dreams dissolve. Her world is drained of color, her identity reduced to service. Beneath her silence simmers decades of exhaustion, trauma, and buried rage. When a privileged stranger steals her seat on the tram after a long day, the small humiliation becomes the spark that ignites a long-suppressed fire. Through a night of haunting memories and surreal flashes of color, Mina’s interior life bursts to the surface. She revisits moments of love, loss, and violation that shaped her, confronting the ghosts of who she used to be—a dancer, a dreamer, a woman once full of light. As reality fractures and imagination takes over, the film drifts between black-and-white realism and saturated color, mirroring Mina’s journey from numb endurance to emotional reawakening. By the time she returns home, Mina’s silence has transformed into resolve. Standing at the crossroads between vengeance and liberation, she chooses life. In its final moments, Mina walks into the night—her world finally glowing with color. Too Done becomes a quiet revolution: a story of a working-class woman reclaiming her name, her agency, and her freedom.
