Labor of Love is a new original stage musical at the intersection of immigration, politics, love, and American identity. Jorge, a newly arrived, irrepressibly optimistic undocumented Mexican worker, becomes the unlikely face of a far-right senator's campaign to win the Latino vote. When he falls for the senator's daughter, both are forced to confront what it truly means to belong in a country built on contradiction. Think Book of Mormon meets Hairspray: urgent, hilarious, and impossible to ignore at this particular moment in American life.
