After the sudden death of their younger sister, two estranged brothers are forced back into each other’s lives when they become temporary guardians of her medically fragile infant daughter, Freddie. Matt is an exhausted father of five trying to hold his chaotic suburban life together, while Adam is a charming but directionless limo driver who has spent years avoiding responsibility. With the state threatening to place Freddie into foster care, the brothers embark on a cross-country road trip from Chicago to California in search of the baby’s biological father.
