Fender - Play It Foward
Tala, a spirited 8-year-old dressed in a band tee and tutu, bursts with energy in her music-filled bedroom. Her Fender guitar glows in the corner, a silent invitation to play. When her working-class father returns home, weary from the day, Tala eagerly begs him to pick up his instrument. He hesitates until her persistence wins him over. As he strums his guitar, Tala joins in, and their living room transforms into a dazzling concert stage. In this shared fantasy, father and daughter perform with passion and unity, Fender instruments in hand, lost in the magic of music. Just as their imaginary solo reaches its peak, Mom calls out, “Dinner’s ready!” snapping them back to reality. They exchange a knowing look, the bond between them stronger than ever.

A loving, responsible father who once lived for music. Life required him to choose stability over passion, and he hasn’t touched that part of himself in years. His resistance isn’t exhaustion — it’s vulnerability. When he plays again, it’s not about skill; it’s about remembering who he was.

Tala is bright, imaginative, and emotionally intuitive beyond her years. She doesn’t just love music, she feels it. When her father plays, she sees another world open up. Her joy is infectious, her persistence loving rather than demanding. She is the emotional engine of the story.
