Exclamation Point
The film follows Kimball, a man in his 30s coping with a recent separation while trying to function in everyday life. As he navigates an awkward HR meeting at work, pressure from family to “be okay,” and an emotionally charged visit from his ex, Kimball struggles with how much honesty is socially acceptable. In this world, Kimball and his ex-partner Katie are missing their eyes — a surreal visual element treated as normal, symbolizing emotional disconnection and suppressed vulnerability. The film blends grounded realism with subtle surrealism to explore grief, intimacy, and the performance of emotional wellness.
