EIGHT COUNT — Synopsis Six-episode scripted dance microdrama Written and Created by Bill Herndon Produced by Neon Lion Productions An ambitious dance team gets a chance to compete at a global dance championship in New York City with a $1 million prize. But for the team’s lead dancer, the opportunity arrives just as her mother reveals she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, forcing her to balance her dreams with her responsibilities at home. Unable to afford the trip, the dancers take their talents to TikTok LIVE to rally support. As the deadline approaches, jealousy and competition for the spotlight threaten their unity. Then a rumor that artificial intelligence created their audition video puts their championship invitation in jeopardy. To keep their place, they must prove their talent in a live audition where there is nowhere to hide. With a formidable rival waiting in New York, the team must confront personal pressures and fractured trust before taking the biggest stage of their lives. Blending powerful dance performances with family drama and competitive tension, EIGHT COUNT follows young artists fighting for their future—and discovering what it takes to move as one.
