The Seer
About the Job
THE SEER is a blind woman living at the Pool of Bethesda. Though she cannot see the world around her, she feels its emotional weight deeply and notices what others miss. She is perceptive, poetic, resilient, and spiritually attuned. Her spoken-word monologue reflects on despair, hope, and the healing of someone she knows. The performance should feel intimate, musical, emotionally layered, and grounded in truth—not theatrical or exaggerated. This is a remote, self-recorded role. The selected actor will perform from their own location using a smartphone and will receive production guidance. Blind and low-vision performers are strongly encouraged to submit.
