About the Job
BOTH Holly and Nick should have excellent romantic-comedy instincts: quick reactions, natural chemistry, easy banter and visible emotional vulnerability. NICK: Male, 25-35 LOOK: Clean-cut, with a good head of coiffed or lightly gel-styled hair. Taller than 5'10. Conventionally attractive and put-together. Smile that could win anybody over. A kind of holiday-catalog appeal. You get the sense he could have been a J Crew model but got his MBA instead. Any race, but he and/or Holly should be non-white/racially ambiguous. CHARACTER: Effortlessly charming and confident, maybe even a little smug or stiff. Playful sense of humor masks a deeper calculated, maddeningly self-assured businessman. Ambitious, organized, and quick-witted.
