About the Job
BOTH Holly and Nick should have excellent romantic-comedy instincts: quick reactions, natural chemistry, easy banter and visible emotional vulnerability. HOLLY: Female, 25-35 LOOK: Medium-long hair. Sparkly eyes, big smile, or both. Approachable and naturally radiant rather than overly polished. Attractive in a relatable, unmanufactured way. Shorter than 5'10. Any race, but she and/or Nick should be non-white/racially ambiguous. CHARACTER: Girl-next-door, expressive and bubbly. Warm and optimistic—a passionate, glass-half-full kind of girl. A hopeless romantic who genuinely believes in love, happy endings, and a little (or a lot of) holiday magic.
