The Inspector
Greptile — “nothing Ships Untested”
About the Job
Male, 40s–60s Rate: $500/day Non-speaking / featured Seeking an actor with quiet authority and strong screen presence. The Inspector is calm, unhurried and entirely unbothered—the person who is clearly the final word in the building without ever needing to raise his voice. Sitting behind his desk, he reviews the final proof, performs one deliberate stamp of approval, places the paperwork into an envelope and sends it through a pneumatic tube. The performance should be minimal, precise and completely serious. The simple act of stamping a document should somehow feel authoritative and important. The storyboard reinforces that he looks at the proof generated by the testing machine rather than the original stack of paperwork, stamps it once, and approves it. ROLE-SPECIFIC SELF-TAPE ACTION (after the general audition): Sitting at a desk, review a piece of paper, make a decision, and deliberately “stamp” your approval. Please keep the performance subtle, authoritative and completely serious.
