About the Job

Boy; 10 to 15 years old; Afro Latino. A sensitive and imaginative boy struggling to understand what it means to be a man following his mother's deportation. As the baby of the family, Yaque was always protected by his mother, leaving him emotionally disconnected from his older brothers. He is also the only brother born in the United States, which makes him feel even more like an outsider within his own family. More than anything, Yaque wants his brothers' love and approval, and he is willing to do almost anything to earn it. The roles handle a prop firearm. The only interaction between performers will be casually passing the prop from one person to another during conversation; there will be no physical fight or combat involving the firearm. A Parent or Guardian will be allowed within sight and sound of the Minor at all times while they are working. A Monitor / on-set Tutor / Studio Teacher will be provided. This production is in compliance with all State Child Entertainment Laws. AFRO LATINOS OR INDIGENOUS LATINOS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. LEAD.
