About the Job
Vincent's oldest friend, at the campfire spot where every big conversation of their friendship has ever happened, always over beers. His approach to a crisis is to keep things normal — insults, a dap, another drink — because in his experience heaviness never helped anyone and company always did. He's the only person in the film completely at peace with what's going on, which is exactly what his friend needs him to be. When he promises the goodbye is only "for now," he doesn't know if it's true. He says it because one thing tonight has to not be final.
