Warm face. Deeply expressive, understanding eyes are essential. Lived-in presence. Strong subtlety preferred over theatricality. Must convey love, disappointment, humor, exhaustion, and compassion with very little screen time. Grounded dramatic actors strongly encouraged. A mother who has seen every version of her son and still loves him, even as she fears time has passed him by.
