About the Job
Major is the biggest role in the film. The actor for Major must be present at all five shooting days and be willing to handle being on screen for the vast majority of takes. The actor will also need to be willing to handle special effects, the most important being Major’s hatching from a giant egg complete with baby oil as egg yolk, and be willing to appear in their underwear for a scene. Other special effects include popping balloons filled with liquid, and smearing jelly on bread with his bear hands. Alongside this the actor must always move their entire head in order to look at something while performing as Major, with no eye movement. Major’s voice is never extremely emotional, but very tempered and soft.
