About the Job
Nate just graduated high school and landed a summer job at the local movie theater to be close to his girlfriend. He got his good friend Pete a job as well. Nate is high energy, always messing with people, and can be found "sweeping" the theater most of the time. This is a fun, exploratory acting challenge for my script The Cinema Summer. This is NOT an audition for the film. The script is in very early stages, so this is a chance to play with the characters, explore the dialogue, and have fun. I would love to see your take on the characters. Have fun with it and make it your own. Bloopers welcome :) Info on the scene: It’s the summer of ’99 at a small-town movie theater. Pete is starting to crush on the new hire, Abby, and Nate is NOT letting it slide.
