About the Job
Member of Robert Scott’s team for the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913). In January of 1912, Scott led a party of five which reached the South Pole, this was less than five weeks after Amundsen's South Pole expedition. Before the final leg of the journey, Teddy had been ordered to return for more supplies, and to bring the sled dogs to wait for the team at the base of a glacier. When the team returned, Teddy wasn’t there. Scott and his team ended up succumbing on the journey back. We explore the potential reasons Teddy didn’t follow through with the plan.
