HERO MAN - white male, 58-64 -White male, between the ages of 58–64. -Average (not athletic) build -More of an everyman look vs super handsome -Naturally expressive face -Salt and pepper hair to convey his age -He needs to look different than the DSA-1 spot -He needs to have presentable hands Performance Notes: Talent should be able to convey a range of facial expressions. From completely emotionless (known as ‘masked-face’) to worried, to upbeat (smile no teeth). It’s also important to be able to show physical signs of Parkinson’s. • Must be able to portray the cardinal symptoms, T.R.A.P. (Tremor, Rigidity, Akinesia, Postural Instability) • A slight tremor when holding a coffee mug or fitting a wrench on a bolt. • A range of walking, from a normal ’toe-up’ step, to a stiffer gait where he’s shuffling his feet. • The key will be subtle, accurate movements versus over-dramatization. MAN LIVING WITH PARKINSON’S DISEASE This project portrays a person living with Parkinson’s in everyday moments. We are looking for subtle, accurate physical behavior, not dramatization. Parkinson’s symptoms often appear asymmetrically and inconsistently, especially in early to mid stages. Please keep your performance restrained and natural.
