New York City
Synopsis:

New York’s In Here is a vertical format digital web series created for YouTube and social media audiences that captures the raw, unfiltered spirit of New York City through the lens of its diehard sports fans. Each 10–15 minute episode takes place inside the car of HALYTE, a charismatic, quick-witted New York driver who becomes an impromptu therapist, hype man, and friend to the passengers he picks up across the five boroughs. Every episode features one featured actor playing a fictional New Yorker, either born and raised in the city or a long-time transplant who now bleeds orange and blue for the New York Knicks. These passengers aren’t just catching a ride, they’re catching a moment: a candid, funny, and heartfelt conversation about life, love, family, work, and, of course, New York sports. Format & Structure: Each episode begins with HALYTE pulling up to pick up a passenger from somewhere in the city (Brooklyn brownstones, Queens boulevards, Manhattan midtown chaos, Bronx side streets, or Staten Island ferry drop-offs). What starts as casual small talk quickly unfolds into an improvised dialogue blending personal storytelling with Knicks fandom. The actor’s task is twofold: 1. Be a real New Yorker (or a convincing one) — share believable, unscripted stories about everyday struggles: family drama, workplace headaches, relationship woes, or dreams deferred. 2. Be a Knicks fan — react authentically to a recent Knicks game (win or loss), recalling real players, moments, or emotions. The goal is to blend sports passion with human experience. The tone is conversational, funny, and deeply relatable — think High Maintenance meets Taxi Cab Confessions with a Knicks twist similar to the fantasy league sports fanatic show "The League."

Project Notes

Improvisational Element: Actors must be prepared to improvise naturally while maintaining character. HALYTE will guide the conversation with humor, empathy, and streetwise charm, allowing each actor to showcase their timing, authenticity, and emotional range. The dialogue should feel real — not performed — as if two New Yorkers are venting, joking, or bonding over the universal love-hate relationship they share with the Knicks.
