About the Job
We are looking for REAL, AUTHENTIC stories of men who have experienced depression/anxiety/burnout for any of the following reasons: 1. They have ideas of masculinity that have caused them to stay silent, which led to loneliness, under-treatment, and a sharp decline in their mental health. They have lived through or are actively managing anxiety/depression/burnout 2. Their relationships (or lack thereof) with friends/family/significant others have impacted their mental health. They are in a long-term relationship or are recently separated; or they have communication/intimacy challenges or they are lacking close male friendships. 3. Work pressure, financial stress and provider norms have worn down their mental health. They have felt money stress, job strain and/or pressure to be the breadwinner 4. They've experienced depression and/or anxiety in relation to their physical health. They are managing or recently managed depression/anxiety alongside a physical-health angle (e.g., heart risk, blood pressure, diabetes control, sleep issues, chronic pain). Our ideal folks are NOT currently in crisis, but rather have been successful in navigating through their challenges and can look back and talk about the journey. We’re looking for men who would like to share their emotional journey and the difficulties they encountered in the process. Our ideal candidates would feel comfortable sharing their stories on camera and with our host.
