About the Job
‘Advisor’ – Friend or Family ‘Helper’ Friend/Family ‘Helper’ caught in relatable home moments — stepping in to “help” someone else. They’re tackling small home tasks — like mounting a TV, fixing a leak, or 'helping' with a move — and realizing they’re a little in over their head. Great with subtle facial expressions, small body movements, and grounded physical comedy. Subtly comedic tone — real, relatable, and never overplayed. This person fits the “fun uncle” archetype. But not the dumb uncle stereotype. This character in particular needs to be likable enough that it’s believable that homeowner might initially consider his advice. Think more Uncle Jesse from Full House than Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. The comedy of the bad TV installation will do the work for this scene, so Uncle Fun doesn't need to come across as “Uncle Dum Dum.”
