We are casting for the role of a Black woman teacher whose journey we follow from the early years of her career through to her retirement. The character will be portrayed across four decades, with age progression achieved through makeup and prosthetics. We are looking for someone who feels authentic, grounded, and natural. The character should reflect the warmth and realism of a true teacher—not stylized, glamorous, or model-like. We’re especially interested in actors who can embody an everyday presence: approachable, relatable, and with a lived-in quality. A body type on the fuller or more natural side is welcome. The performance will cover a wide range of life stages and emotional moments. The tone of the production is realistic—filmed almost in a documentary style—so subtlety and honesty in performance are key. **Requirements:** - Black woman, ages 20-25 - Comfortable with prosthetic/aging makeup applications - Must be comfortable filming a modest shower scene (shoulders up) - Ability to portray character across multiple life stages (20s through senior years) - Strong ability to convey authentic, nuanced emotion - Professional on-set demeanor and punctuality - Must be available for November Shoot Dates **What to Expect:** - Multiple hours in makeup for aging prosthetics - 3-4 day(s) of filming - Professional makeup and wardrobe provided - Modest shower scene (framed shoulders up) - Closed set for shower scene - Working on set with elementary age children **Location:** Los Angeles **To Apply, Please Submit:** - Availability for November Shoot Dates November !4th, 15th, and 16th with possible pick up day on the 17th.
