About the Job

LEAD RUSSIAN or RUSSIAN ACCENT https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Purishkevich Stocky, fiery-eyed, borderline fanatical, with a robust goatee, a man who fills any room with his booming voice and ferocious gestures. A monarchist fanatic and right-wing deputy of the Duma (Russian Imperialist Parliament), he believes himself the guardian of Holy Russia. Known for his temper, his oratory, and his bombast and bluster (which irritates Dmitri), Purishkevich barrels through hesitation where others falter. He becomes the hammer of the conspiracy when fear grips the rest, taking decisive shots (literally because he shoots Rasputin in the back and in the head). Hopes: to rally the people around a purified Tsarist regime. Fears: that weakness or delay will hand Russia to revolutionaries. Goals: eliminate Rasputin as a symbol of decay and restore faith in autocracy. Relationships: loudest voice in the Duma against Rasputin; unlikely ally of Yusupov and Dmitri; co-plotter with Sukhotin.
