Nationwide Casting: REAL Caregivers for a Paid PSA Black Sheep Casting is partnering with Raregivers, a global network that delivers emotional support to caregivers, patients and professionals in rare, chronic and complex disease communities. Caregivers, the backbone of these communities, are rarely seen. They need awareness, empathy and support and their stories deserve to be told in full. The goal of our Rare Truth campaign is to reveal the often invisible experiences of caregivers around the world and honor the raw emotional weight they carry. By normalizing their vulnerability and strength, we hope to foster more empathy, connection and support. What is Raregivers? Raregivers is a global nonprofit dedicated to supporting the emotional wellbeing of caregivers, patients, and professionals living with rare, chronic, and complex conditions. Through peer support, evidence-based resources, crisis support services, and a multilingual global community, Raregivers helps individuals feel seen, understood, and connected throughout the caregiving journey. The organization’s signature Raregivers™ Emotional Journey Map provides a framework for understanding the emotional realities of caregiving and finding meaning through every stage of the experience. As a participant in this PSA, you may be invited to share authentic moments from your caregiving journey. There are many ways to engage with the Raregivers community. Some individuals participate by sharing their stories, while others access support services, attend workshops, pursue caregiver certification, join peer networks, contribute to advocacy efforts, or help raise awareness for caregivers around the world. Every journey is different, and every form of participation helps strengthen a community where caregivers feel emotionally witnessed, connected, and supported. We welcome submissions from both Raregivers community members and those who are not currently part of the community.
