We are seeking REAL caregivers (parents, spouses, siblings, friends) who support a loved one living with Rett Syndrome, Parkinson’s Disease, or Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor (TGCT) Black Sheep Casting is partnering with Raregivers, a global network that delivers emotional support to caregivers, patients and professionals in rare, chronic and complex disease communities. Caregivers, the backbone of these communities, are rarely seen. They need awareness, empathy and support and their stories deserve to be told in full. The goal of our Rare Truth campaign is to reveal the often invisible experiences of caregivers around the world and honor the raw emotional weight they carry. By normalizing their vulnerability and strength, we hope to foster more empathy, connection and support. Real Experience: MUST currently be a primary caregiver for a family member diagnosed with Rett Syndrom, Parkinson's Disease, or TGCT Willingness to be filmed alongside the person they care for and in their own home and/or a personal setting Age Range: 18 years and older. Open to nationwide submissions with a strong emphasis on Los Angeles locals. All genders and ethnicities strongly encouraged On-Camera Participation: Caregiver must be comfortable sharing personal experiences and performing natural, realistic day to day routines. (All stories will be documented with the utmost sensitivity and care.) Caregiver will need to demonstrate gentle caregiving actions (helping with mobility, offering support, emotional comfort, etc.) If possible, caregiver will be asked to film some interactions with the loved one they care for.
