We follow 15-year-old Zac, an isolated teenager searching for belonging in a world where he feels invisible. At school he exists on the fringes, watching friendship groups from afar. At home, his single mother is stretched thin raising four children, leaving Zac feeling overlooked and disconnected. When an older man named JT offers him an opportunity to make some easy money, it feels less like a job and more like someone finally taking an interest in him. What begins as small favours gradually evolves into something far more dangerous. As Zac gains confidence, he becomes increasingly embedded within JT's world. The validation he receives from JT begins to replace the connection he lacks elsewhere, making it harder and harder to recognise where friendship ends and manipulation begins. By the time Zac is trusted to recruit other young people, he no longer sees himself as being influenced. He believes he is making his own choices. Yet as the consequences of those choices begin to impact others, cracks start to appear in the narrative he has built for himself.
