About the Job
We are seeking a quiet, emotionally present child performer aged 7–10 to carry the lead role in a short film. Malik/Malika is the heart of the story — a boy or girl who processes a difficult home life through imagination and inner strength. The ideal performer brings natural instincts, stillness on camera, and genuine emotional availability. The role is heavy on physical presence as the character does not speak in the film. Role includes location shooting on rugged Utah terrain in a spacesuit. Physical comfort in an enclosed helmet required. Strong chemistry with adult cast essential. Film or TV experience preferred but not required.
