Casting a young Yuki, in the 12-14yo range. Meet YUKI Tanaka, a 16-year-old first generation teenager residing in a quiet Texas town. Struggling with the recent loss of her father, who was a rockabilly enthusiast, Yuki adopts his greaser style to connect with his memory. Despite facing bullying for her unique style, Yuki discovers solace and strength in dance and her two new friends MAGGIE and JOEL. Determined to find her voice and overcome the challenges that come her way.
