On the surface, he’s soft and supportive, the “nice guy,” but there’s a quiet expectation in how he moves, a subtle pressure in the way he watches his girlfriend. He’s trying to shape her without ever saying it out loud. Performance leans on naturalistic, understated acting: micro-reactions, posture, the way he corrects or hovers without realizing he’s doing it. He’s not malicious, just unaware, mildly performative, and a little threatened when he isn’t the most “thoughtful” person at the table. Looking for an actor who can play sweet, slightly insecure, and quietly self-serious, someone whose niceness starts to feel like control once the camera stays on him.
