Thorne
Dnd Actual Play Podcast
About the Job
Actor MUST be an expert in Dungeons And Dragons for this actual play podcast. Thorne grew up in the small coastal town of Hot’b in the Southern kingdom of Bwov’ot. While not ostracized immediately, he was the victim of frequent bullying. His father brought him into the family business of Cleric, where they served the God of sea warfare and trade, Otub, one of the twelve Gods in the Imizici pantheon. Thorne’s father was willing to trade with anyone, including pirates, who would frequent Hot’b. Thorne’s father impressed upon him a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and taught him all the necessary components of business, including supply and demand, and the importance of demand-side economics; the idea that the more financially stable and wealthy the general population of a kingdom is, the more prosperous it will be. Unfortunately, once Thorne’s father passed, the village turned on him, and chased him out with literal torches and pitchforks. Because Otub did not protect Thorne during this period, he developed a cynical view of the Gods, worshipping Otub while also hating him and taking advantage of the powers, and believing that the Gods hate us, and need to be torn down. Thorne has a strong revolutionary spirit, and is quick to pick a fight, something he and Ba’allah have in common. Thorne is also very flashy and focused on the superficial, so he is always broke, because he almost immediately spends his share of the treasure horde on nice clothes. Thorne is also quick to fall in love, and lets his emotions get the best of him. His flaw is his desire to tear everything down, which is often in conflict with his desire to decorate, as he is very aesthetically focused.
