Synopsis:

Set in a remote, snowbound wilderness, The Crooked Man follows Elias, a young man struggling to survive while caring for his gravely ill mother in the aftermath of his father's death. Isolated from society and short on food, Elias is forced to confront adulthood before he is ready, taking on responsibilities that weigh heavily on his already fragile emotional state. The harsh winter landscape mirrors his internal turmoil as fear, exhaustion, and unresolved grief begin to blur his sense of reality. Strange occurrences soon disrupt Elias's fragile routine. An unsettling tapping sound near the cabin, whispered warnings tied to an old nursery rhyme, and the feeling of being watched suggest that something unnatural may be stalking the woods. When Elias discovers mysterious signs leading away from his home, his attempt to protect his mother draws him deeper into the forest and toward a crooked, seemingly abandoned cabin that should not exist there. Inside, Elias encounters a solitary stranger who appears knowledgeable about survival, solitude, and suffering. As a powerful storm traps Elias away from home, the cabin becomes a place of uneasy refuge where time, memory, and perception feel increasingly unstable. Elias experiences vivid encounters that challenge his understanding of the past and force him to question what is real, what is imagined, and what may be deliberately manipulating him. As the storm intensifies, Elias must face the consequences of fear, inaction, and the choices he has made-or avoided. Haunted by guilt and tested by supernatural forces rooted in human cruelty and silence, Elias is pushed toward a reckoning that will determine whether he remains trapped by his past or finds the strength to move forward. The Crooked Man is a psychological folk horror story about grief, responsibility, and the cost of surviving when doing the right thing comes too late.
