Torch: Latino. Masculine, standoffish, brusque. Hiding past pain. Survivor. Pedro Pascal type. For Torch, no Spanish accents. He’s Latin, but he is Native English speaker and bilingual.
Alma: Lead narrator. Headstrong, diligent, stubborn. Driven to be rebellious. A bit naive. Latina. A Zoey Kravitz type.
Lady Sun/Lanzhou/Narrator: She is 19 or 29 depending on alternating timelines. Assertive, playful and flirtatious. Asian background, neutral/no regional accent. Storyteller voice. Methodical, detailed, passionate.
Ben Iku: Black male, 30s. Young CEO. Can be kind but is repressed. He has a cultured or refined accent. You can interpret this in many ways. Could be lightly British or lightly African, either way he should sound well-educated, enunciated and like a psychopathic CEO type (Black Lex Luther or Patrick Bateman).
Isaiah: North Indian/Scandinavian background. Low voice, occasionally almost feral. Leader, stressed, responsible. No accent.
Maya: Indian. Self-deprecating but determined, hoarse voice at first. Cyborg, not by choice. American accent.
Fawl: Black woman. 25. Plucky and naive. Flirtatious and strong-willed. Standard American accent-nothing regional.
