Where Am I

Other Non Union
Los Angeles
Synopsis:

Short film example and a feature Dustin wakes up in an abandoned farm in the middle of no where. No phone in his pocket. Last thing he remembers was being in a bar. Dustin tours the farm and finds no proof of life nor does he find any clues as to why he is there. He then decides to take a long walk into 'no where'...THIS is when he learns why he is in this situation...and that is in the name of death. A thrilling character study about a confused young man who eventually has to fight for his life *************** How did you like those Academy Awards? Awesome show. I hope you dreamers saw what hard work, less ego, focus and belief can do. All this attitude, beating your chest and the need for people to see you will only get you a few credits at the end of the day? Where are the ones who want to be a legend? Ones who wants their art to live on in history? Where are all the dreamers who want their work to be so strong, it provides opportunity for many other people on this earth? Where are the ones who believe in locking in a lab and creating perfection and not stuff just to say 'see me'? I received 87 texts and calls (so far) during and after the Oscars. Again the sentiment was 'We get it' (alluding to my never ending speeches about the power of Actor/Director duos).

Project Notes

A little bit about the creator Commentary: The Oscars on March 15th 2026 was a lesson in teamwork. It was a true testament of the heights that an Actor/Director team can reach. If anyone has followed my castings over the years here on Casting Network, then you know I am always speaking of that type of union. Some may even think I am obsessed. Its not about me being obsessed, but I have studied this idea for a long time. Even as a kid, I saw what Tim Burton and Johnny Depp were doing with their matching rhythm and quirkiness. Then I studied the more dramatic edges of Scorcese and Dicaprio. I didn't just look at the success of these two duo teams, I dug deep and dissected the reasons as to why they worked. 'Connection' was at the top of the list. Also remember, working on anything consistently usually makes it better. Imagine a director and actor working together consistently learning one another's rhythm, cadence and style then parlaying that into film. Sinners would not exist had Ryan and Michael NOT built a path and connection. Ryan knew every skill and movement Michael was capable of and he crafted a film that showcased his muse's skills to Oscar glory Ryan was lucky that he found that kind of commitment from Jordan. You can see their deep love & connection on display especially during the Oscars and its promotional blitz leading up to it. Its their belief in one another that has moved major, record breaking box office success, lit up a stunning franchise, conquered two smash marvel films and erected an original 'I made this for my muse' horror juggernaut film. That path could not happen had the two not been a team. You have to really understand SHOW BUSINESS to really get what I am saying. Just think: 1000s of actors pour into the Hollywood journey every year. Why is there only one representation of an actor director duo in this era? I'll tell you why: Attitude, ego, fear, disbelief, the inability to have a conversation. I work in silence. I don't post pictures of me on the net with celebs or beat my chest saying 'look at what I've done'. I am in it for the art not the gloss. I don't post my material online. I have been creating a huge, multi media shows since I was a kid in the 90s. Each show is a 20k price tag from me. I don't say these numbers to brag at all. However I feel me explaining certain motivations for my moves in this industry brings an understanding. These shows are where I unleash my material. If I post stuff all throughout the net, who would pay to come to the events? People will judge you for that instead of coming to check out your work. We live in an era where people assume. Everyone isn't in this business for the gloss of it. Some are here for the art. When Michael met Ryan, Coogler was green with 0 credits and no flash pizazz. However conversation (facilitated by casting juggernaut Twinkie) and belief led them on one of the most insane paths of any duo in the history of Hollywood. Around 2010, CASTING NETWORKS held a staff meeting and asked their workers who was the most prolific casting entity on their platform. I was told they all said my name in unison (lol), As a result, they invited me out and we met in Westchester California. They wanted my perspective on their site as they were expanding. It was there that I eagerly showed the my work by way of Ipad and they were impressed. In closing, I went to several industry events over the past two weeks in honor of the Oscars. I had incredible conversations with so many heavyweights. The biggest lesson I learned when I was asked about my journey can be summed up as follows: 'Never beg anyone to make them a superstar. Why would you have to beg someone to invest your money and TIME in them in order to give them a boost in Hollywood. When you meet the person that will take time to understand your vision, they will fall into it without question and that's when you will see the Hollywood lights at the end of the tunnel' I'm listening & waiting
