WAITING follows Ravi, an Indian immigrant who has spent over a decade in the U.S. trapped in legal uncertainty, emotional compromise, and a marriage built on survival rather than love. Bound to a temporary work visa and a life he cannot leave, Ravi suppresses his creative ambitions and personal truth in exchange for stability. His marriage to Shruti—whose own safety and legal status depend on Ravi—slowly fractures under the weight of fear, unspoken resentment, and diverging desires. As Ravi begins to rediscover himself through writing and unexpected connection, both are forced to confront the cost of endurance, the meaning of freedom, and whether continuing to “wait” is safer than choosing to live.
