Synopsis:

SCRIPT SYNOPSIS: Man and Woman on vacation, enjoying vacation activities and enjoying each other’s company. Shopping, dining, movies, art, ice cream… The vibe is one of being on vacation and having a great time, and early shots should be tightly focused and not reflect that they’re at an airport. We see when the couple is boarding their plane that they have been at the airport the entire time and are only just now boarding their flight for Hawaii… and they are almost disappointed to leave the airport. This should be a “reveal” moment and the first open/wide shot that reflects positively that they are at an airport. CHARACTER BACKGROUND: The couple is a man and a woman who are happily married with children. They love each other very much and are familiar with one another in the way that couples who have been together for a long time are. This is the first vacation they’ve taken alone together, without their children, and they are having such a blast enjoying the amenities of the airport, and their time together, that it feels like the actual vacation itself – and they’re reluctant to board their flight.

Project Notes

We are hiring locally only, and payment is typically Net-60. We will be having the first round of auditions digitally through video submission. The second round of auditions will be live and in-person in Oakland, CA. ROLES PRINCIPAL ROLES: We are casting a couple. Actors do not need to have worked together previously or be a real-life couple. --> Male actor who is the male partner of the couple Age: Pretty broad, but our audience’s largest demo is mid-30s. Maybe mid-thirties to early fifties. Ethnicity: Also broad. Should be reflective of the diversity of San Francisco Bay Area if possible. Personality/Demeanor: Playful, loving, comfortable with one another. The important thing is how the couple interacts with one another as they are married and love each other very much. --> Female actor who is the female partner of the couple Age: Pretty broad, but our audience’s largest demo is mid-30s.
