Synopsis:

Chris, 24, is a handsome, half-athletic, half-nerdy technician living in Louisville, Kentucky. By night, he maintains sound, light, and surveillance systems at a high-end nightclub; by day, he works on a startup using a powerful drone to inspect railways. Despite his looks and intelligence, Chris harbors a childhood trauma that has left him sexually blocked—and still a virgin. His best friend, Nick, 25, is the son of Dave, 48, the nightclub’s owner and a ruthless gangster who uses the club to launder his criminal income. When Dave’s rival, a Chilean developer named Nanavarra, tries to buy and demolish the club, Dave sets a deadly trap—framing Chris to provoke his enemy. He hires two escorts, seductive Kate, 23, and her “brother” Scott, 25, to draw Chris into a romantic setup that will end in his staged murder. But the plan backfires: Nick dies instead. Glen, 30, one of Dave’s enforcers, panics, thinking Dave will kill them all for Nick’s death. He convinces Chris, Kate, and Scott to hide the body in Chris’s old Cadillac and dispose of it in a ghost town. Chris senses the wrongness but is too weak to oppose Glen. Their journey spirals into chaos—an encounter with bikers, a wildfire, the murder of a cop, a mechanic discovering the body and being killed, Scott’s death, and Glen turning on Kate. In a violent showdown, Chris kills Glen to save Kate. Despite learning she helped frame him, he forgives her. At a motel, Chris shares his secret: as a boy, while watching an adult video, his abusive father broke in and beat him. His mother intervened, was fatally injured, and Chris has blamed himself—and his sexuality—ever since. Kate helps him release the guilt, and they become lovers. Later, Kate sees a police alert: they’re wanted. She secretly contacts Dave and offers Nick’s body in exchange for new IDs and $100,000. The next morning, Dave arrives at the motel, but the room is empty—only a phone waits. Chris calls, instructing Dave to hook the cash and IDs onto the drone. Kate never betrayed Chris; she arranged IDs for them both. The drone delivers the bag to Chris and leads Dave to the hidden Cadillac. Seeing Nick’s corpse, Dave tries to reclaim the bag, but Chris flies the drone away. Dave grabs a shotgun and chases it into a swamp. Chris lures him into the muck, where Dave begins to drown. As the drone hovers over his enemy, Chris hesitates—and forgives. He saves Dave, pulling him out with the drone’s grabber. Chris and Kate take the money and part ways. He wants a future with her, but she, burdened by her past, declines—though she leaves the door open if fate brings them together again. They share a long, tender kiss and walk off in opposite directions.
