Elias, a brilliant but despondent composer haunted by familial rejection, stands on the brink of suicide until a phone call pulls him into a gig at a local senior center. At the facility, he forms an unlikely bond with Ambrose, a witty resident battling dementia who pushes him to inject heart and humor back into his rigid music . When Elias learns the tragic truth that Ambrose’s own grandson took his life, he realizes he isn't alone in his pain and decides to accept a job teaching the residents. Finding a new sense of purpose in this unexpected community, Elias finally gathers the courage to reach out to his estranged mother and choose life.
