The Anti Chalamet Vision (working title)

Vision: During the sweeping OSCAR Hollywood events, I spoke to a lot of industry persons about various subjects. One of the top topics was Timothee Chalamet. Discussions related to this generations top superstar ranged from why he would or would not win the Oscar and his brand imagery. One of the things most discussed was that he lacked an edge for edgier roles. Where in Marty Supreme he played somewhat of a villain, but he was still in a 'boys casing'. I went home one night sitting in heavy thought about how cool it would be to build an actor in that edgier aspect. Michael Douglas reinvented his career with edgier faire such as Basic Instinct and of course the genre-of-its-own Fatal Attraction, Timothee may one day go there, but as of now that space is missing and I thought I would give a go at it. Despite the title, this isn't in any way a bash of the superb Timothee who I consider my top young actor under 31 (since he just made 30 lol). I just laid out my creative challenge. Strategy: To create several short films in the edgier realm. It has to be surrounded by everything good from the writing, the characterizations, the plots and of course the actor. I want to wrap the actor in a pitches. To be clear: A pitch is the packaging of an idea for networks or studios to consume. My forte and my pleasure. nothing is ever guaranteed but heart, focus, talent and loyalty can move mountains Base Project: A young man on the verge of marriage is visited by a woman who claims he is the reason her daughter is dead. The daughter was the young man's girlfriend a few years back. In a competent plot that lays it all out, the young man (Jack) tries to convince his emotional and weary fiancee that he did not kill his ex Why did I pick this story as the base project: Because it has a lot of meat and a lot of layers. It also allows my future superstar an opportunity to flex their acting skills in a story that requires layers of emotions.
